Privacy Policy - Tagalong

Tagalong ("we", "us") helps people find and join active social outings and group buys. This policy explains what we collect and why. By using the app you agree to this policy.

What we collect

Account details you provide: name, email, profile photo, and a short bio.
Verification data: a selfie you submit for identity verification, reviewed to grant a verified badge.
Activity: outings you host or join, requests, comments, reviews, and (when you choose to share it) your approximate location to show nearby plans.
Optional contact info: a mobile number you enter when a host requires it to coordinate an outing.
Technical data: device and app diagnostics needed to keep the service running.

How we use it

To run core features - showing nearby outings, letting you join, and notifying you about plans you are part of.
To verify identity and build trust through badges and reviews.
To send transactional messages (confirmations, reminders, request updates). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
To keep the community safe and enforce our Terms.

Payments

Tagalong never processes or holds your money. For paid spots and group buys you pay the host or vendor directly. We only record that a host marked a payment as received.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Your name, photo and reviews are visible to other members in the normal course of using the app. We use trusted infrastructure providers (Google Firebase and Cloudflare) to operate the service.

Your choices

Edit or remove most profile information at any time in the app.
Control location sharing through your device settings.
Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@lettheworld.com.
